Meet the Pack!

Our pack is a beautiful mix of history and hope. Here, we celebrate the rescues who found their second chance, the rehabilitation team that guides them, and the original companions who inspired us to become rescuers in the first place.

Opalo

Labeled a 'lost cause' after a series of traumas, Opalo came to us at four months old needing a sanctuary, not just a school. Though she still battles fear and struggles to trust, her gentle spirit is a testament to why we never give up. Opalo isn't just a rescue; she is the heart of our mission and a reminder that no dog is ever beyond hope.

Coco

Found hungry and scared in a busy downtown, Coco’s journey began on the streets. Adopted at three years old, he eventually traded his 'Crazy Coco' reputation for a life of luxury and leadership. Now the 'Alpha' and distinguished gentleman of the house, this Chihuahua-Pekinese mix is proof that with the right structure and love, even the most frantic start leads to a peaceful, noble retirement

Tita

Abandoned at 12 years old when her owners moved away, Tita could have been just another forgotten senior. Instead, she became our greatest joy. A classic Chihuahua with a personality twice her size, she quickly claimed our hearts and reminded us that love has no expiration date. Tita was the best of us—a tiny reminder that every dog, no matter their age, deserves to be cherished until the very end.

Acerola

Handed to us by a homeless neighbor in Puerto Rico when she was just weeks old, Acerola was a tiny life in need of a big miracle. Though her stay at Bella’s Dog Club was short, her impact was profound. We provided the care she needed to grow strong, and she quickly found the forever home she deserved. Acerola reminds us that even the shortest journeys can change a life’s entire destination.

Luna

Luna joined our pack during a time of loss, coming to us after the passing of a dear family member. Though she spent her early years as a beach dog, she transitioned into indoor life with grace and purpose. Luna became the 'foster mother' every newcomer needed, providing a calm, steady presence that helped countless rescues—like Opalo—learn to trust again. She was the soul of our socialization team and the steady heartbeat of the Club.

Pototo

Pototo was the runt of the litter that no one else wanted, but to us, he was a revelation. As our first-ever successful placement into a forever home, he did more than just find a family—he gave us the confidence to realize we could truly make a difference. We thank Pototo for being our first teacher and for proving that even the smallest 'runt' can launch a life-saving mission. He is the reason Bella’s Dog Club exists today.

Chikki Tricky

Chikki Tricky was the original inspiration behind our journey. As a classic, spirited Chihuahua, she didn't just join our family—she joined our mission. Alongside Luna, she served as a vital member of our rehab team, using her big personality to help new rescues find their footing. Chikki was the blueprint for the 'Titas' of the world and the reason we fell in love with the strength of the canine spirit.

Atisha

Atisha was the definition of grace. As one of the first dogs to join our family, this female Labrador was quite simply the most well-behaved soul we have ever known. While she wasn't part of our rehab team, she was our greatest teacher. Her calm nature and natural brilliance helped us understand the depth of dog behavior, giving us the foundational knowledge we needed to eventually help those in crisis. She was our steady North Star at the beginning of this long journey.

Tosh

Every trainer has that one dog who tests their limits, and for us, that was Tosh. A classic Beagle through and through, he spent his early years proving that spirit often trumps obedience. Tosh taught us the hard way about what doesn't work, providing the foundational lessons in patience that we use today. He eventually found his peace alongside Atisha, but his legacy lives on in our training methods. We loved him for his flaws as much as his heart, and we thank him for making us the experts we are today.

Rubio

Long before there was a club, there was Rubio. A perfect male Labrador and the first dog to ever truly choose me as his person, Rubio was the spark that started a lifelong journey. He was the embodiment of canine loyalty. Our bond was fast and intense, setting a standard for the human-dog connection that we still strive to achieve for every member of our pack today. Rubio wasn't just a pet; he was the reason we learned to speak dog.

Albizu

The son of our legendary Rubio, Albizu was the living legacy of the dog that started it all. With his father’s athletic spirit and his English Labrador mother’s compact, classic build, he was the perfect bridge between two generations. Albizu was a ‘standard’ in every sense of the word—sturdy, loyal, and incredibly loved. He proved that the incredible bond we shared with Rubio wasn't a one-time miracle, but a gift that could be passed down through the years.

Ciro

Ciro was more than just our first family pet; he was our greatest teacher. A handsome chocolate Labrador with a heart of gold, he was the one who introduced our entire family to the joy of the canine bond. Ciro taught us the patience, responsibility, and unconditional love that come with owning a dog, effectively launching the journey that would one day become Bella’s Dog Club. We miss him every day, but his legacy lives on in every family we help and every dog we rescue.
